Strategy & Facilitation

This work can range from thought partnership and coaching to retreat facilitation, from 90-min “strategy sketches" to a full strategic planning package that includes deep mission/vision/values work + values-aligned goal development. I use some elements of traditional strategic planning but more frequently draw on emergent and organic approaches, which are better suited to our rapidly shifting world. Together we’ll navigate conversations that help surface root issues, find common ground, and move forward so that you can gain a deeper understanding of your core purpose, grow, navigate change, and develop practices that align your work around what matters most.

Storytelling

Many stories that are vital to the world aren’t being told because the people who hold them aren’t sure how to bring them to life. As a story consultant, I meet these “storyholders” where they are and work with them to identify and develop the stories they want to tell. I do this story work alongside organizations or individuals and offer a range of services, including story analysis, story coaching, storytelling workshops, co-developing stories, storytelling strategy, freelance writing, and editing.

Community Capacity Building

For larger organizations who want to show up as better community partners, I consult on equitable and inclusive program design, strategic initiatives, creative approaches to capital, and trust & relationship building.

For small community-based organizations, I provide tailored support, coaching, systems advice, and technical assistance.

For communities, I guide learning circles, grantee cohorts, and communities of practice that bring leaders together to network, collaborate, learn from, and support each other.

Education & Advising

I offer tailored workshops and classes on writing and storytelling, fundraising, strategic planning, organizational and leadership development, and nonprofit management.

I also advise and coach organizations and teams that need to build competencies in various areas. All of this work can be customized to address your specific needs.
